Man Injured from Electrical Shock on Lowell Street

The police log for Wednesday, March 16 contained several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Wednesday, March 16

At 9:23 a.m. police assisted the Andover Fire Department with a call regarding a man who received an electrical shock on Lowell Street.

At 11:37 a.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station reported that the railroad gates at Essex Street were stuck in the down position and no train was around.

At 3:12 p.m. a motorist reported that a tractor trailer unit was tying up traffic on Central Street under the Horn Bridge. An officer assisted the operator.

At 3:23 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported on Central Street. Police did not investigate the accident.

At 4:58 p.m. a counterfeit $100 bill was reported at on Elm Street. An officer filed the incident.

At 11:43 p.m. police stopped a motor vehicle on Haverhill Street. The officer eventually cited the driver for both defective equipment and possession of marijuana, which is a $100 fine.
