Mysterious Garage Door Reported on Newport Circle

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

At 6:20 a.m. a caller reported that his motor vehicle was stolen on Topping Road. Lawrence Police report the car was abandoned in Lawrence and towed.

At 7:27 a.m. a caller reported a breaking and entering into an executive office at the Wyndham Hotal. The caller said it appeared someone was in the act of stealing items and got spooked and fled.

At 7:35 a.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Lowell Street.

At 8:13 a.m. a caller on Bulfinch Drive reported a breaking and entering into her motor vehicle. There was damage to the ignition of the car.

At 9:10 a.m. a caller reported that his motor vehicle was broken into while parked at the Wyndham Hotel the previous night.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

At 8:28 a.m. a caller from CVS reported a shoplifting incident that occurred the prior evening.

At 5:24 p.m. a caller on Newport Circle reported that she is alone with her young daughter and the garage door went up by itself. An officer checked the house and all was secure.

Thursday, Jan. 10

At 7:38 a.m. a caller reported that someone smashed two of her car windows on Beacon Street.

At 9:30 a.m. police arrested Sonia R. Skeen, 44, 46 Dyer Ave., Milton, on South Main Street. Skeen was charged with receiving stolen property over $250.

At 10:35 a.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident on North Main Street. Injuries were reported and one individual was transported by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital. Both vehicles were towed.

At 1:54 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Park Street near the Old Town Hall. No injuries were reported.

At 3:29 p.m. police arrested Sean P. McGonagle, 23, of 10 Custer Circle, Nashua, N.H.. on River Road. McGonagle was charged with possession of a class A substance.

At 5:18 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run on River Road.

At 5:39 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run on Route 125 near the State Police Barracks.
