Pole Falls on Car and Merrimack Arrests

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Friday, Nov. 1

At 11:53 a.m., a telephone pole fell on a car at Dundee Park. No one was injured.

At 11:59 a.m., a caller reported a tree down on Spring Grove Road.

Saturday, Nov. 2

At 1:57 a.m., Merrimack College Police reported that they had three males in custody for trespass and weapon possession at a building on Foxhill Road. David Wendowski, 19, of 120 Grinnell St., New Bedford, was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, possession of a dangerous weapon, trespass and disorderly conduct. Tyler Sylvia, 18, of 163 Main St. 1st Floor, Fairhaven, was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering and disorderly conduct. Wade Borden, 18, of 5 Hemlock St., New Bedford, was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, possession of a dangerous weapon, trespass, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

At 4:21 p.m., a 911 caller reported that a car hit a medium sized black dog on River Road and the dog was running loose. Police saw an uninjured dog in the area but did not catch it.

At 6:45 p.m., Lawrence Police reported an armed robbery at Haffner's on South Broadway and the suspect is believed to have fled on the tracks into Andover. Andover Police searched the Haverhill Street area but did not find the suspect.
