State Police Plan Sobriety Checkpoint in Essex County This Weekend

The Massachusetts State Police will hold a Sobriety Checkpoint in Essex County.

The checkpoint will be held Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 on a public way within Essex County.

According to State Police, the purpose of the checkpoint is "to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways.  It will be operated during varied hours, the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary, safety will be assured, and any inconveniences to motorists will be minimized with advance notice to reduce fear and anxiety."

This is about money and fiscal quotas to fill...not public safety. Plain and simple. Please "Sheeple", don't view it as anything more than it is.

Anyone else wanna go out stone sober, and swirl some mouthwash right before the checkpoint to make them work for it.
