Suspicious Man Reportedly Approached 6-Year-Old

Friday, June 8

At 2:40 a.m., police and fire responded to a River Road hotel for a fire in a vent. The fire department extinguished the fire.

At 9:42 a.m., eight or nine ducklings were reportedly stuck in a storm drain on Salem Street. A mother duck was spotted nearby and was reportedly in distress. The Department of Public Works responded to help the ducklings and mother duck.

At 11 a.m., police responded to a Lowell Street car accident with air bag deployment.

At 2 p.m., police arrested Michael Forge, 36, 33 London Road., Salem, N.H., on a warrant for possession of class A drugs and driving with a suspended license. Police also arrested William Powers, 33, 31 Manet Ave., Quincy, on a warrant for possession of class A and class B drugs. 

At 9:33 p.m., police responded to Balmoral Street for a report of a group of kids throwing rocks at passing cars. Police found the group but said they were not throwing rocks. The kids were sent on their way.

At 9:35 p.m., police received a call about a possible fight on North Main Street. The person reported they heard someone screaming and saw a man pacing back and forth on the street. Police found the man who was walking from Boston to Salem, N.H., and was just trying to take shelter from the rain. 

At 9:42 p.m., North Reading Police called Andover Police to report a grey Seabring was headed their way with two men inside. One of the men was using a wrist rocket while driving. 

Saturday, June 9

At noon, police received a report of a small brush fire on Lowell Jc. Rd., the Andover Fire Department extinguished it.

At 3 p.m., a Woodcliff Road, resident reported their 6-year-old son was approached by a "medium sized male in his 50's who had a rope in his hands." The boy ran in the house as the man approached. Police searched the area but did not find anyone. 

At 7:46 p.m., a resident reported a group of girls jumping in and out of a moving vehicle on Shawsheen Road. The girls told the police they were filming a movie. Police told the girls to stop.

Sunday, June 10

At 10 a.m., a power line was reported down in Harold Parker State Forest. Verizon was notified.

At 4:36 p.m., a teen was reportedly walking with a toddler down the rail road tracks. Police did not locate the two.

At 9:46 p.m., several reports came in about gun shots near Noel Road. Police believe the sound was coming from fireworks in Lawrence.
