Three Arrested Over the Weekend

Friday, July 27
At 7:12 a.m. a caller reported a possible water leak on the south east corner of Bartlet Street and Chestnut Street.

At 10:02 a.m. a caller reported that someone stole two tires off of her car on Cornell Road.
At 1:20 p.m. a caller reported a ground hog that was digging up his lawn. The animal control officer was notified.

At 9:48 p.m. a caller reported that his motor vehicle was egged while driving down Brookside Drive.
At 10:39 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on North Main Street. No injuries were reported.
Saturday, July 28
At 3:15 a.m. police arrested Douglas J. Dipesa, 34, of 46 Red Spring Road, on Red Spring Road. Dipesa was charged with assault and battery on a household member, malicious destruction of property over $250 and intimidation of a witness.
At 6:13 p.m. an attempted break-in was reported at a home on Corbett Street.
At 7:09 p.m. an employee at CVS reported that two kids were shoplifting. Officers responded but could not locate the subjects.
At 9:56 p.m. a caller reported that his motor vehicle was broken into while he was at work on Lowell Street.
Sunday, July 29
At 3:17 a.m. the State Police reported a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 93. Andover Police assisted in the incident.
At 10:51 a.m. a caller reported a loud explosion in the area of Longwood Road. An officer reported that a transformer blew in the area. Residents did not lose power.
At 12:58 p.m. police arrested Thomas Berube, 59, of 8 Dracut St., Lawrence, on North Main Street. Berube was charged with operating a motor vehicle after a revocation for operating under the influence of liquor, subsequent offense.
At 7:31 p.m. police arrested Peter Senter, 25, of 8 Witch Lane, Plaistow, N.H., on River Road. Senter was charged with possession of a class A substance.
