Woman Finds Disturbing Word Written on Vehicle

Monday, July 30
At 2:22 a.m. police arrested Rachel E. Manemaus, 28, 115 North Main St., on North Main Street. Manemaus was charged with disorderly and possession of a class E substance.

At10:18 a.m. a minor motor vehicle accident with no injuries was reported on Ballardvale Street.
At 4:21 p.m. a caller reported a little girl walking down the road by herself with a suitcase on Abbot Street. An officer found the little girl and reunited her with her parents.

At 8:36 p.m. police arrested James S. Glover, 53 of 198 Water St., Lawrence, on River Road. Glover was charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.
Tuesday, July 31
At 8:35 a.m. police spoke with two people who appeared to be hitchhiking near I-495.
At 8:42 a.m. a motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported on Lowell Street. Both vehicles involved in the accident needed to be towed from the scene of the incident.
At 11:37 a.m. a caller reported that she found a knife on her lawn on North Main Street. The caller was given advice.
At 2:47 p.m. CoCo Collections reported two shoplifters on Main Street. The shoplifters got away with merchandise.
Wednesday, Aug. 1
At 9:36 a.m. a caller reported that he was missing money on Bellevue Road.
At 1:23 p.m. a caller reported a possible building fire on Carter Lane. The fire department responded but found no fire.
At 6:07 p.m. an employee at Richdale's on Railroad Street asked for an officer to help her with a customer that was harassing her.
Thursday, Aug. 2
At 5:52 a.m. a caller reported a motorcycle that struck a car on Lowell Street. Injury was reported in the incident.
At 7:10 a.m. a caller reported that somebody vandalized his motor vehicle on Main Street.
At 8:57 a.m. a caller reported a strong smell of sewage in the area of the Old Town Hall on Main Street. The Water Department responded.
At 10:33 a.m. a walk-in visitor reported that someone had written the word "rape" on the side of her vehicle while it was parked on Essex Street.
At 3:07 p.m. a caller reported an accident involving a taxi on Essex Street.
At 10:22 p.m. police arrested Benjamin Joel Warren, 18, of 24 Chester St., on Park Street. Warren was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
