Town Meeting will hold the rules and regulations of food truck operations in its hands this spring, with a bylaw proposed by the Planning Board.
The board discussed the bylaw at its meeting last week, opting to seek Annual Town Meeting approval for a new license and regulation process overseen by the Board of Selectmen.
The bylaw would ensure that food trucks are licensed in an “orderly fashion,” said Town Planner Jacki Byerly in a report in the Eagle-Tribune.
The Town Meeting article suggests that selectmen have the ability to approve a license, as well as set a licensing fee and regulations.
Town Meeting will start on May 5 in the Andover High School auditorium.
