'High Dose' Flu Clinics for Seniors This Month

The Andover Health Department has announced three upcoming "high dose" flu clinics.

The Andover Health Department is holding flu clinics in September for Andover senior citizens.

Three “high dose” Flu Clinics are scheduled for residents 65 yrs and older at the Andover Senior Center on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 19
  • Thursday, Sept. 20
  • Tuesday, Sept. 25

A "high dose" flu vaccine is a flu vaccination that is four times stronger than a normal flu vaccine, designed in 2009 for men and women 65 years or older, according to the AARP website.

The clinics will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. by appointment only.
