Residents Seek More Answers About Proposed Gas Pipeline

Are you in favor of the pipeline running through Andover?

Last week, Kinder-Morgan, which is the company that is building the Tennessee Gas pipeline from Pennsylvania to Dracut, gave a presentation to residence of Andover, which is where part of the lateral line will run, reported the Andover Townsman.

A couple hundred residents showed up for the presentation at Wood Hill Middle School, where Kinder-Morgan's director said that the demand for gas was much greater than the supply at this time, and that more is needed in the Northeast states.

The line, reported the Townsman, will bring the gas from Pennsylvania 418 miles, with a 20-inch, smaller line running from Dracut through Methuen and into Andover and Tewksbury.
