High School Thespians Coming to Andover This Weekend

Andover High School to perform as part of full schedule of The Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild's High School Festival Preliminaries.

Looking for some theater, but don’t want to leave town?

You’re in luck. 

The Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild is holding its High School Festival Preliminaries on Saturday, March 1 – and there is a location in Andover.

The schedule of performances on Saturday includes Andover High School, which will perform Radium Girls at Andover High.

The festival includes 115 one-act plays at locations throughout the state. Judges recognze acting and technical design at all three levels – preliminary, semifinal and state. Two schools will be chosen at the State Festival later this month to represent Massachusetts in the New England Drama Festival, which takes place in Vermont in April.

9:00 a.m. - Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, Anon(ymous)
10:00 a.m. - Andover HS, Radium Girls
11:15 a.m. - Matignon HS, The Little Drama Club That Could
12:15 p.m. - Shrewsbury High School, Enchanted April
2:00 p.m. - Newton Country Day School, Wiley and the Hairy Man
3:00 p.m. - Worcester Academy, Experiments in the Garden of Eden
4:30 p.m. - Everett High School, Coconut Soup at the Palace
5:30 p.m. - Medford High School, Mirrors
