Andover native Ryan Hanigan, a catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, drove in a run during his Fenway Park debut Tuesday.

The Rays lost to the Boston Red Sox, 7-4.

Hannigan, 33, has earned a spot in the Rays' starting lineup this season.

He said he was excited to play at Fenway for the first time.

"I came here to watch so many games growing up," he told NESN.

Hanigan's sister bought 100 tickets for family and friends for the game, according to NESN.

The two teams play again Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.
