Where Can You Watch the Fireworks in Town?

The fireworks will be at dusk at Andover High School.

The Fourth of July fireworks display will be Wednesday night at dusk (around 9 p.m.) at Andover High School. So this week's "You Ask... Patch Answers" is all about where to see them.

Where else can you watch the fireworks? Options are limited, according to Andover Fire Chief Michael Mansfield.

You can, of course, watch them at the high school. Parking there is limited, though. Moraine Street near the high school will be closed off.

You can watch the fireworks from downtown, but all you'll see are the fireworks that reach higher up.

"In areas of town that have elevations that they can see out beyond the trees, they'll be able to see the higher levels from downtown, and there's parking there, they just won't see the ones that are closer to the ground," Mansfield said.

You could try watching from nearby churches, which may allow parking as well.

Also, there is West Middle School, right near the high school, where you are also allowed to park.

If you do watch them at the high school and there are no more parking spaces there, you may have to walk a little. Most roads around the high school will be closed off to parking.
