Winter Means One Thing: Lacing Up the Ice Skates for the First Time

Interest is drastically rising for learn to ice skate programs this winter season. The changing weather is starting to peak interest in new winter sports. Hockey is now in full swing, along with the upcoming Winter Olympics right around the corner. Many future hockey players, figure skaters, and recreational skaters are signing up for the local programs. It is a great way to keep families active and to have fun.

 

The local Phillips Academy Ice Rinks has just released their winter schedule. It is broken down into two programs on teaching how to ice skate. The "Tots" programs are for little kids ages 3 and up. They are weekday programs that consist of smaller classes. The "Basic Skills" classes are similar, but consist on the weekends and are for all ages. They even have spots aside for adults!

Thursdays 10:20am + 1:10pm

Fridays 10:20am

 

Basic Skills Schedule*

Fridays 5:00pm

Saturdays 10:10am + 11:20am

Sundays 5:00pm + 6:10pm (Adults encouraged to attend 6:10pm)

 

*All winter classes start the week of November 19th
