What's Happening in Andover This Week

Your scoop on the week ahead in town.

Weather-wise, we're in for an interesting week. Temperatures will be around 50 degrees Monday, with some rain. But a large blast of arctic air from the North Pole will drop temperatures way down into the teens by Tuesday. By the end of the week things will thaw as temperatures climb into the 30s.

The Board of Selectmen will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. On the agenda is a water agreement with North Reading.

On Tuesday, the American Red Cross will have a Blood Drive starting at 1:30 p.m. at Temple Emanuel.

Also on Tuesday, the Andover Garden Club will host "The Garden in Winter" at 10 a.m. at South Church. Garden designer, author and lecturer Joan Butler will discuss how gardening can be done in winter.

Yang's Fitness will host a Free Women's Self-Defense Workshop Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Yang's Fitness.

On Wednesday, the New England Classical Singers will host Open Rehearsal/Auditions starting at 6:45 p.m. at South Church.

On Thursday, re-energize yourself for the weekend thaw with "Nourishing Energy," a workshop at 6:30 p.m. at the Center at Punchard.
