The Doherty Middle School celebrates the overall appreciation for high academic excellence by all those who work at or attend the school. The school of roughly 560 students works to provide students with a place where they can grow based on their specific needs. The school tries to include enrichment opportunities for students that are both interesting and engaging. Students are divided into teams for homeroom and are intended to operate like a family in school. Team teachers ensure students are receiving all of the assistance and guidance they need throughout the school day. The Doherty Middle School is connected with the town government offices on Bartlet Street a block from downtown Andover.
