The Merrimack valley YMCA Board of Directors voted on Thursday to approve a master plan to expand and transform its Andover location. With the $21 million renovation, the Andover/North Andover YMCA, according a statement by the Board, will: The $21 million will be funded by the fundraising efforts and tax exempt bond financing provided by Enterprise Bank. The project also received gifts of $150,000 from Victor J. Mill III and $250,000 from The Highland Street Foundation. With less than a month left to burn on your property, all those looking to burn up yard waste before the summer will have to apply for an open air burning permit at the Andover Fire Department. Just visit the Fire Department at 32 North Main Street and ask for an open air burning permit. The cost is $25 and you can recieve the permit when you visit. Burning is allowed until May 1.
