The Phillips Academy constitution states that they will prepare "youth from every quarter" to understand that "goodness without knowledge is weak....yet knowledge without goodness is dangerous." Their motto is Non Sibi and is Latin for "Not For Self." Paul Revere included those words on the Phillips Academy original seal over 200 years ago.
