Tell Us: Was Manti Te'o Involved in the 'Catfish' Hoax?

The Notre Dame linebacker has been topping news reports all week after it was discovered his dead girlfriend wasn't a real person.

When news broke that Manti Te'o's dead girlfriend wasn't real, news organizations including CNN and  ESPN hopped on the story and tried to get to the bottom of it. While Te'o and the Notre Dame Athletic Department maintain that he was the victim of a 'Catfish' type hoax , others aren't so hopeful.  "Te’o actually thought the romance, which, like everything these days, started online, was for real," A Chicago Sun-Times writer argues. "And when he found out he’d been goofed on, played like a high school geek who just received a 36-month swirlie — plus, he had played along with his own lies — he grasped for dignity and killed off the chick ." The term 'Catfish' was popularized by a movie and subsequent TV show, which explores online …

Patriots AFC Championship Tickets Go on Sale Thursday

A limited number of tickets to the Jan. 20 AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Jan. 17.

For the ninth time in 20 playoff appearances, the New England Patriots are just one game from advancing to the Super Bowl. That game will be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens. It is the second consecutive season the Patriots and Ravens will meet in the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium. New England beat Baltimore in last season’s AFC title game, 23-20 to advance to Super Bowl XLVI. The Patriots are 7-1 all-time in AFC Championship Games, including 4-0 in Foxborough (3-0 at Gillette Stadium) but just 1-1 against the Ravens in the postseason. Baltimore defeated the Patriots, 33-14 in the 2009-10 AFC Wild Card game at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 10, 2010. However, the Patriots are 6-2…

UPDATED: Predict the Score: Patriots-Ravens for the AFC Championship

In a rematch of last year's conference title game, New England hosts Baltimore for the second year in a row. Will it turn out 23-20 Patriots like last year? Add your prediction in the comment section.

UPDATE: Well, it was just Bill and me who even picked the Ravens, who, as we all know too well, won 28-13. I'm not sure how to pick who was closer between my pick of 28-24 Ravens and Bill's pick of 27-24 Ravens. I think you could argue that either way. Thanks, everyone, for the predictions. ~~~~~ Once again, the road to the Super Bowl goes through Foxborough. On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., in a rematch of last year's AFC championship, Baltimore comes to Gillette Stadium to tackle New England. Last year's battle ended memorably when Pro Bowl Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff missed a short field goal that would have sent the game into overtime. The Patriots won 23-20. This year, the Patriots are an 8.5 point favorite to reach their second straight Super…

NFL Playoffs: TV Schedule and Where to Watch Wild Card Weekend in Andover

The New England Patriots are off this weekend but there's still plenty for Pats fans to watch for in the NFL's Wild Card weekend.

The NFL playoffs kick-off this weekend and while the New England Patriots will be on the sidelines resting up for next Sunday's AFC Divisional Round playoff game, there's still plenty for the Pats and their fans to watch for Saturday and Sunday. For starters, the results of this weekend's AFC Wild Card games will determine which team travels to Foxborough next weekend to take on the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. If the Houston Texans beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday (kick-off is 4:30 p.m.) then the Pats will host the Texans next Sunday. However, if the Bengals defeat the Texans in Houston then the Patriots will host the winner of Sunday's Indianapolis Colts/Baltimore Ravens wild card game. Kick-off in Baltimore is set for 1 p.m. In …
