Addison Exhibits Textile Artist Sheila Hicks' Works

American textual line artist shows her work at the Addison.

Come see the works of an expatriate Midwestern American artist's work strung out in lines of color and texture that might remind you of an orderly Jackson Pollock. In the galleries of the Addison Gallery of American Art at the Phillips Academy on Main Street in Andover from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays from November 5, 2010 to February 27, 2011, co-curated by independent scholar Joan Simon and curator Susan Faxon will have on display work by American textile artist, Sheila Hicks. The gallery will exhibit 100 of Hicks' most influential and representative art.
