The Squeezebox Stompers will be playing the Red Rock Bistro in Swampscott Friday night. The Squeezebox Stompers deliver their own unique mix of roadhouse roots, blues, Cajun and Zydeco. The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, comprised of four Andover teens, will be performing a semi-staged opera on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Sanders Theatre at Harvard University.
The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras will bring to life one of opera’s most compelling characters, Rigoletto, for a one-time-only performance of Verdi’s renowned Rigoletto. And four young Andover musicians are among those performing in the upcoming show at Harvard University. Andover teens Tiffany Lam, Miki Nagahara, Mari Nagahara and Sasha Scolnik-Brower will be performing in the string ensemble for this one-time show. Tiffany Lam, 17, will be playing the viola, Miki Nagahara, also 17, will play the violin. Mari Nagahara, 13, and Sasha Scolnik-Brower, 17, are both performing on the cello. The Treble Chorus of New England is holding auditions on three different Mondays in September for kids age 6 to 18.
