Wednesday, Feb. 27 At 1:38 p.m. a passenger on the MBTA commuter rail reported that a woman fell on the train and appeared to be injured. The woman refused treatment at the train station and said she was not injured. At 3:01 p.m. an amblance en route to another call came upon a vehicle that had crashed into a tree on Bellevue Road. The driver said she was not injured. She was driven to the Route 133 Mobil. At 5:25 p.m. a caller reported that her daughter's backpack was stolen from a girls locker room at Phillips Academy. The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. Friday, Feb. 22 At 3 a.m. police arrested Jared M Breton, 28, of 277 Fox Ave., Dracut, on Frontage Road. Breton was charged with possession of a class E substance, two counts. Saturday, Feb. 23 At 3:01 a.m. police arrested Zoe Giannousis, 47, of 551 Hildreth St., Apt. 4, Dracut, on River Road. Giannousis was charged with operating under the influence of drugs and possession of a class E substance. At 8:40 a.m. police arrested Dylan F. Burke, 23, of 16 BUrke Ave., Rowley, on River Road. At 8:55 a.m. a social worker was requesting a well being check for a student who wrote a disturbing post on facebook. At 10:26 a.m. a parking employee reported a three-car crash on Main Street. One vehicle fled the scene, which was a black SUV with a female driver wearing a pink coat. At 1:40 p.m. a caller reported that her mailbox was vandalized on Abbot Bridge Road. No injuries were reported but one driver was cited for following too closely. At 7:40 a.m. an officer reported a damaged parking meter on Park Street. At 8:22 a.m. a caller reported a larceny from a motor vehicle on Bulfinch Drive. At 8:57 a.m. police arrested Kenneth Berube, 50, of 83 Spofford Road, on Lowell Street. Berube was charged with assault and battery. High winds are a serious concern for Headers this morning. The National Weather Service has declared a High Wind Warning through 9 am Thursday. Gusts are reaching 60 MPH. Down in Boston, gusts up to 80 MPH have already been reported Thursday mornin by WBZ. The winds could topple trees, knock off tree limbs and send unsecured objects flying around town. Andover Police Chief Brian Pattullo called shooting an isolated act.
Andover Police Chief Brian Pattullo said the double murder of John and Geraldine Magee at 7 Orchard Crossing was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Pattulo said there are no suspects at this time and the couple’s 2008 Lexus was found burned on Prince Street in the North End Tuesday night. Police were called to the Orchard Crossing home at 9:18 a.m. Wednesday after the couple’s daughter found them dead in the first floor of their home. The chief declined comment on whether there was a struggle during the murders. He added there was not history of violence at the address. Pattullo said he may have more information on Thursday. The couple's burned vehicle was reportedly found in the North End Tuesday night.
Two people have been shot and killed at 7 Orchard Crossing. Andover Police Chief Brian Pattullo said a call came in at 9:18 a.m. When police arrived, they found the bodies of two people -- a man and a woman -- in a room on the first floor. The home is owned by John and Geraldine Magee, who operate Advance Realty Co., out of the home. The couple developed the Orchard Crossing neighborhood. They also owned Magee Construction Company in Arlington, according to the Boston Business Journal. Bob Marcus, 80, who has lived a block away for 40 years, recalled that people had mixed feelings about the development when it was built. He described them as a quiet couple.
