Postal Worker Reports Odor from Home

The police logs for Tuesday, June 14, contained several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. At 1:20 a.m. police assisted the Fire Department with a report of a 17-year-old male who took numerous pills. The teen was transported to Lawrence General Hospital. At 7:08 a.m. police reported a motor vehicle hit a deer on Main Street. At 8:31 a.m. police reported a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 495. Only minor injuries were reported in the accident that involved entrapment of a individual in a vehicle. At 11:18 a.m. a postal worker reported a strong odor coming from a home on North Main Street. The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. At 2:58 a.m. a caller reported a group of kids smoking around a construction site on Morton Street. At 3:46 a.m. a stolen car was reported on North Main Street. It was reported stolen from Methuen. At 7:37 a.m. a caller reported his vehicle was broken into on North Main Street. The ignition was also popped out. At 10:07 a.m. a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Essex Street. At 11:43 a.m. a bad check scam was reported on Grandview Terrace. At 12:18 p.m. Bella Beads reported ID theft on Main Street. At 4:55 p.m. a two-car accident with injuries was reported on Haverhill Street.

Man Injured from Electrical Shock on Lowell Street

Wednesday, March 16 At 9:23 a.m. police assisted the Andover Fire Department with a call regarding a man who received an electrical shock on Lowell Street. At 11:37 a.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station reported that the railroad gates at Essex Street were stuck in the down position and no train was around. At 3:12 p.m. a motorist reported that a tractor trailer unit was tying up traffic on Central Street under the Horn Bridge. An officer assisted the operator. At 3:23 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported on Central Street. Police did not investigate the accident. At 4:58 p.m. a counterfeit $100 bill was reported at Palmers Restaurant on Elm…

Two Arrests and a Fallen Stop Sign

The Thursday, Dec. 30 police logs contain two arrests and several small incidents.

Thursday, Dec. 30 From noon until nearly 3 p.m., police performed various liquor license checks throughout the town. At 12:34 p.m. police stopped Alexander Hernandez in the area of 30 River Road. Hernandez, 39, of 8 Fairway Drive, was arrested and charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. At 3:25 p.m. police stopped Pedro Bermudez Gonzalez in the area of 287 North Main Street. Gonzalez was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, attaching wrong plates to a motor vehicle and an uninspected motor vehicle. Gonzalez was released on his own recognizance. At 5:49 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 93 near River Road. State …

 Wednesday, Dec. 29 At 7:50 a.m. a Forrest Hill Drive resident reported finding someone else's mailbox in her front lawn. She said that it came from a house that was number seven on an unknown street. An officer brought the mailbox back to the police station. At 9 a.m. a caller reported a single motor vehicle accident on Chestnut Street. A vehicle slid off the road and into a snow bank. The vehicle was able to get free. At 12:06 p.m. identity fraud was reported on Colonial Drive. A resident reported that someone used his identity to make a purchase. An officer filed the incident.  Monday, Dec. 27 At 6:07 a.m. the traffic lights at Shawsheen Square on Haverhill Street were not working properly. Traffic going westbound on Haverhill Street was not triggering the green light.
