14-year-old transported to Lawrence General for injuries.
A 14-year-old girl on her way to school was hit by a motor vehicle at roughly 7:15 a.m. this morning on Andover Street in Andover. Andover Police Lt. Harry Collins said that the girl was hit as she was crossing the street to board a school bus in the area of 200 Andover St. Collins said she was hit by a 17-year-old female, who was cited for a school bus violation and impeded operation. The 14-year-old girl was transported to Lawrence General Hospital with what they believe to be non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not yet have information on the type of motor vehicle that hit the child and how exactly the motor vehicle hit the child.
