On Monday, Nov. 12 we observe Veterans Day, a national holiday established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military. Here's a quick round-up of what's open and closed in Newton. The Town of Andover honored 22 World War II veterans during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Ballardvale Green on Friday. The Veterans Services Department held ceremonies at the West Parish Cemetery and at the Spring Grove Cemetery earlier on Friday. The veterans that were honored include Thomas Busta, include Mario J. Aloisi, Salvatore J. Basile, Jack Berberian, Charles E. Burns, Anthony D. D'Amelio, Vincent P. Davey, William T. Downs, Douglas M. Dunbar, Robert W. Elder, June C. Fitzgerald, Raymond J.
