Three Andover kids will be performing in a production of the Secret Garden from May 9 to May 19.
Three Andover kids will be performing in a production of the Secret Garden at Newburyport's Firehouse Theatre from May 9 to May 19. "It's an inspiring show so great for the spring," said Mary Hall, mother of the three kids in the play. "Mothers will love it for Mother's Day...Fathers will love it. It covers love, loss and friendship - beautiful vocal score." Caroline Hall, 12, Katherine Hall, 14, and Joseph Hall, 9, all have lead roles in the production. The Real School of Music celebrated their grand opening
The Real School of Music opened in Dundee Park this past weekend with a full line-up of musical acts from students as well as notable musician Robin Lane. The school provides music instruction for a wide-variety of instruments in an environment that boasts a real-life rock band experience. The new music school facility boasts not only a dozen state of the art rooms for music instruction complete with instruments and computers, but also provides a an actual rock venue. The live music room, with seating for 100 and a stage built for a full band, provides students with the experience of not only playing with other musicians in a band but also playing live for audience. The school is located at 3 Dundee Park. Their hours are 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. …
Dance Prism will present a new setting of the buoyant classical ballet Don Quixote for two performances only, at the Collins Center in Andover on April 28 and at the Performing Arts Center in Littleton on May 5, both at 2:30 pm.

Latin-American musician Gian Carlo Buscaglia is playing at the Howling Wolf in Salem on Friday night. Buscaglia, who got his start playing on the streets of Harvard Square, plays his flavor of various Latino music sub-genres, with traditional Latin-American beats accompanied by his powerful and emotional Spanish vocal parts.
