Starbucks Product Recalled For Possible Salmonella

The recall is because of potentially-contaminated peanut butter sold in Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes.

Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes are being recalled because of possible Salmonella contamination. Flying Food Group is voluntarily recalling Starbucks brand Protein Bistro Box with Enjoy By dates 8/10/12 to 10/6/12, which includes Justin’s Nut Butter 0.5-ounce single-serve Honey Peanut Butter squeeze packs. According to the FDA: The recalled peanut butter squeeze packs contained in the Protein Bistro Boxes have the following Best By dates: 7/14/13, 7/26/13, 7/27/13, 7/28/13, 7/29/13, 8/9/23, 8/10/13, 8/13/13, 8/14/13, 8/15/13, 8/26/13, 8/27/13, 8/28/13, 8/29/13, or 8/30/13. Sauce at Andolini's the Place for Burgers, Wings, Ribs and Fries

Opened just a couple of months, Sauce will add delivery to their menu.

A true football fan, Spiro Pappadopoulos, of the family-owned Andolini’s, was inspired to open a burger and wings place in Andover after hosting a Super Bowl party last winter. “A friend of mine from Boston wanted wings, and I told him there wasn’t anywhere in Andover to get them,” he explained. So on June 8, Pappadopoulos opened Sauce in the space adjacent to Andolini’s, an Italian restaurant. The family owns the building, and they previously operated a breakfast café there for three and a half years, he explained.   “I’ve always wanted to open a burger place, and with the addition of wings and ribs, it all come together,” he said, adding that their limited menu can be executed in the small space. Indian Bistro to Open in September

Plans for Andover's first Indian restaurant are underway.

Raagini Indian Bistro, a new restaurant to be located in Shawsheen Plaza is scheduled to open when the kids go back to school, according to owner and manager Jaspreet Singh. It will be located in the unit in Shawsheen Plaza formerly occupied by Cardsmart. The Board of Selectmen approved a liquor license for Andover Foods, Inc.,dba Raagini Indian Bistro on May 21. The restaurant will be operated as a family affair, with Singh's father as the chef, an uncle also in the kitchen, and a cousin as the host, he explained. Singh's extended family owns a number of restaurants including Jewel of India in Newburyport and Passage to India in Salem , MA.
