Andover celebrates Independence Day with games and activities.

Yesterday, crowds gathered to the Park following the annual Horribles Parade to enjoy a day of family fun and relaxation. Games, prizes and a pancake breakfast were among the other activities throughout the day. Check out the photo highlights here.

Police Respond to 3 a.m. Fireworks

The police logs for Monday, July 4, contained several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. At 3:30 a.m. a caller reported fireworks on Somerset Drive. Police spoke with people in the area, but did not find any fireworks. At 6:47 a.m. a caller reported hitting a hawk with his motor vehicle on Bailey Road. At 3 p.m. a caller reported motor vehicle accident on Interstate 495 involving a motorcycle. State Police responded. At 4:08 p.m. police reported a stop sign that was tipping over on Red Spring Road. At 4:13 p.m. a caller reported kids skateboarding in the middle of North Main Street. An officer spoke with the youths. At 8:25 p.m. a caller reported an elderly man walking along Route 125 that looked confused.

The police logs for Monday, June 27, contained several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. At 3:59 a.m. a caller reported a loud bang on Memorial Circle. Officers found nothing in the area. At 6:47 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Lowell Street. At 9:04 a.m. police reported a large pothole on William Street. The highway department was notified. At 10:49 a.m. identity fraud was reported on Bailey Road. At 12:26 p.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident on River Road. At 2:34 p.m. a caller reported that the Sunset Rock street sign was missing. An officer confirmed this fact and notified the highway department. At 4:07 p.m. a High Street resident reported that she was driving her vehicle beside her…
