Alexander Kafantis of Andover, Mass., a junior majoring in management engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), recently completed an intense, hands-on research project in Nantucket. The project was titled Evaluating Energy Efficiency in Affordable Housing. At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that addresses an important societal need or issue.
