Spinners Pizza Parlor,195 Andover Street, has been a fixture in the Ballardvale neighborhood for 18 years. Although primarily known for their pizza, calzones, subs, dinner plates, soups and salads, they have also had an extensive catering menu for the past 5 years. Darlene DiCesare owns the restaurant with her son Eric and daughter Alexandria. She said everything they serve down to the sauce, meatballs, soup and Syrian bread is homemade and made to order. "Everything I make is the way I cook at home,' she said in describing her "kitchen". That makes a "huge" difference to her customers, many who have been regulars since they opened.
