School Nurse Advises Parents on Flu Outbreak

The District Coordinator for Nursing Services for Andover Public School says parents should keep children home from school with flu-like symptoms.

This was provided by the Andover Public School district. Please be advised that the Flu has arrived early this year and it is wide spread. We have seen an increase in general respiratory and flu-like symptoms within our school departments over the past few weeks. Given that we are now moving into flu season, it would be advisable to take a few precautionary steps to protect you and your family members from illness. Symptoms may include chest congestion, nasal congestion, fever of 100 and above, sore throat and/or cough. It is important to treat these symptoms proprerly, rest and drink plenty of fluids. Please keep your child home from school if they are sick. Your child should not return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours …
