New Program Delivers Meals to Breast Cancer Patients

The Magnolia Meals on Wheels program is being piloted in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley and will provide meals to breast cancer patients at no cost to them.

Correction: This program is designed specifically for breast cancer patients and not all cancer patients. Breast cancer patients often find that, in addition to dealing with the physical effects of their breast cancer, they have to also find a way to maintain a normal life for themselves and their families. And preparing food for a specific diet in addition to meals for the family can take up a lot of a patient's time. But a new pilot program aims to give them that time back. A collaboration of several different organizations has brought the Meals on Wheels program to cancer patients in Andover and the North Shore. The program, called Magnolia Meals at Home, is the first evolution of the Meals on Wheels program to serve breast cancer …
