Cyclist Struck by Motor Vehicle on Central Street

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. Wednesday, March 27 At 10:31 a.m. a caller reported a well being check on Central Street. The caller said a young girl of about 3 or 4 was walking along the street by herself. An officer reports that the individual is just a short adult.  At 12:51 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run on Railroad Street. The caller said that someone backed into her car overnight and did not leave a note.  At 3:56 p.m. a caller reported a dark colored motorcycle that was speeding through the neighborhood on Boston Road. The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. Thursday, March 21 At  At 7:42 a.m. police arrested Aldrin D. Ocampo Jr., 23, of 29 Cork St., Lowell, on Acord Drive. Ocampo was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating a motor vehicle with no registration in possession, no inspection sticker, revoked registration, attaching wrong plates to a motor vehicle and an uninsured motor vehicle. The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. Wednesday, March 13 At 7:50 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with possible injury on Main Street.  At 8:10 a.m. a caller reported illegal dumping on Chandler Road. The caller said that someone dumped 10 to 12 tires on the road.  At 8:59 a.m. Century Bank reported finding a hypodermic needle on the ground and wanted it disposed.  At 9:19 a.m. a caller reports a cow in the roadway on Blanchard Street. The caller then reported the cow was hit by a motor vehicle. The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. At 3:10 p.m. police arrested Rhadames A. Lachapel, 60, 169 Salem St., Lawrence, on River Road. Lachapel was charged with driving with a license revoked for an operating under the influence conviction. At 3:11 a.m. a caller reported that the railroad gates at Essex Street were stuck in the down position. The problem was eventually fixed. At 10:32 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Dascomb Road. At 10:41 a.m. police reported a manhole cover that is caving in on Haverhill Street. Hit-and-Run Driver Reportedly Struck Hydrant

At 7:12 a.m. an IRS security officer reported that a hydrant was struck sometime overnight in front of the building. At 7:34 a.m. an alarm system company informed police that a hold-up alarm went off at a bank on North Main Street. The alarm activation was accidental by the employee. At 9:05 a.m. a caller reported that someone had broken into his truck overnight and stolen some of his tools. The driver, from New Hampshire, was parked on Wild Rose Road. The police logs for Tuesday, April 26, contained one arrest and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public. Tuesday, April 26 At 8:18 a.m. a caller reported a two-car crash on Route 125. No injuries were reported. At 9:47 a.m. a caller reported possible illegal dumping at a neighbor’s house on River Road.  At 12:34 p.m. police reported an accident involving a motor vehicle collision with a bicycle on Barnard Street. Police did not have details regarding the accident as of Wednesday morning, but said that the bicyclist was not injured and it is unclear whether the motorist will be cited for any traffic violations. Saturday, March 26 At 11:54 a.m. a caller reported a fire extinguisher going off in a 50-year-old woman’s face on River Street. Monday, March 21 At 10:15 a.m. a woman came into the police station to report that another woman punched her in the face at Richdale’s on Railroad Street.
