Pediatrician Charged with Child Porn Stripped of NH Medical License

The New Hampshire board that governs medical licenses held an emergency meeting to suspend Dr. Richard Keller's right to practice medicine in the Granite State. Keller was accused of receiving child pornography.

On Monday the New Hampshire Board of Medicine decided to suspend Andover resident Dr. Richard Keller's medical license in the wake of his Sept. 13 arrest related to a child pornography collection. A little more than a week ago Keller, who is a pediatrician, was charged with receiving child pornography in Boston's federal court. Keller allegedly received roughly 50 DVDs of child pornography by mail, according to the Sept. 13 press release. Doctor in Child Porn Case Waives Right to Bail

Andover pediatrician will stay in jail for the duration of the investigation into his purchases of child pornography in the past few years.

Dr. Richard Keller, an Andover pediatrician who allegedly purchased over 50 DVDs of young boys in sexual situations, waived his right for bail during a detention hearing Friday, according to an article on WashingtonPost.com. During a detention hearing in Boston federal court on Friday, Keller decided not to give up his right to bail himself out for the duration of the investigation and trial. Doctor Accused of Buying Kid Porn Agrees Not to Practice

Dr. Richard Keller has agreed not to practice medicine while investigators look into the accusations that he received over 50 DVDs of child pornography.

The Board of Registration in Medicine met Wednesday to take action on the case of Dr. Richard Keller, an Andover pediatrician who allegedly purchased over 50 DVDs of young boys in sexual situations, according to an article on Boston.com. Keller agreed not to practice medicine while authorities investigate the claims that he had DVDs of child pornography delivered both to his Cyr Circle home and Phillips Academy, where he worked at the medical director for 19 years. Both of Keller's current employers, Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, put him on leave after his arrest. Andover Doctor Charged with Child Pornography in Federal Court

Andover resident and pediatrician at Boston Childrens Hospital Richard Keller was charged in Boston federal court today with possession of child pornography.

Andover resident Dr. Richard Keller, a 59-year-old who worked as the Phillips Academy medical director for 19 years, was charged today for receipt of child pornography in Boston's federal court Thursday. Keller allegedly received films of minors engaging in sexually explicit behavior. According to a press release, Keller purchased over 50 DVDs of child pornography. Keller works as a pediatric endocrinologist at Boston Children's Hospital and worked as Phillips Academy's medical director for 19 years before he stepped down in 2011. "At this time, more than 500 photographs and between 60 - 100 DVDs have been recovered during an ongoing search of Dr. Keller’s home [Thursday]," a press release stated.  In an affidavit attached to this article…
