Ocampo Jr., 23, of 29 Cork St., Lowell, on Acord Drive. Tewksbury Police arrested an Andover resident and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor.
Tewksbury Police last week arrested a 47-year-old Andover man after he drove his car off into the woods on Shawsheen Street in Tewksbury. Police and emergency crews responded to the incident around 12:38 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the area of 1315 Shawsheen St. in Tewksbury, finding a vehicle in the woods with the driver present at the scene. The driver was eventually transported to Saints Medical Center in Lowell to treat his injuries sustained in the car wreck. He was arrested shortly after. The operator, Brian Banks, 47, of 311 Lowell Street Apt. 3109, Andover, was arrested and charged with a marked lanes violation, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and operating under the influence of liquor. Andover Police charged a woman and two men this past week for operating under the influence of liquor.
This past week three individuals were charged with driving drunk in Andover. All three alleged drunk drivers were reported driving erratically, according to witnesses. On Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 9:22 p.m., a caller reported an motor vehicle that was driving erratically and ran several red lights, eventually stopping in the middle of the roadway. Police eventually caught up with the operator of the motor vehicle and arrested the man. Police arrested John Phillips, 65, of 20 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington, on Argilla Road. Phillips was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense. On the same night, North Andover Police reported an erratic operator on Haverhill Street. Waverly Avenue resident Jose Torres were arrested last week by Portsmouth Police.
Portsmouth, N.H. Police arrested an Andover man on drug charges last week following an investigation into the sale of narcotics in the city. Jose Torres, 33, of 264 Waverly Ave., Apt. #1, Andover, was charged Friday with three felony counts of sales of a controlled drug (cocaine). He was arrested by the Epping Police Department and is awaiting arraignment. The Portsmouth Police Department worked in conjunction with the following agencies during the investigation and arrest: the New Hampshire Department of Probation and Parole, New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force (U.S. Marshals), the Strafford County Sheriffs Office, the Rockingham County Sheriffs Office, Epping Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

State Police pulled over a motor vehicle on Interstate 495 in Andover and found over 600 grams of heroin.
A State Police trooper noticed a minivan on the Interstate 495 in Andover with windows that looked a little too tinted this past Saturday. After stopping the motor vehicle, the trooper discovered that the operator was driving without a valid license -- and that he had over a pound of heroin in a hidden compartment in the vehicle. Luis Sanchez-Moreta was arrested charged with Trafficking Heroin, giving a false name to police, Unlicensed Operation, three outstanding warrants, and cited for excessive window tint. He was a previously deported felon and is wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. A pair of local teenagers allegedly shot a pellet gun into groups of people in downtown last Thursday night. Does this make you feel any less safe in downtown Andover?
Two teenagers are being charged with multiple accounts of assault with a dangerous weapon after allegedly firing a pellet gun at people in downtown Andover on Thursday around 9 p.m. Andover Police and the District Attorney are still investigating the incident and both teenagers are on house arrest, complete with monitoring bracelets. Readers provided feedback after the article was published and some said that this incident made them not want to walk around downtown, while others said it has no bearing on their visits to downtown. Two Andover youths pleaded not guilty in Lawrence District Court Friday to charges stemming from an alleged drive-by shooting with a pellet gun outside Orange Leaf.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office is prosecuting two Andover teenagers for allegedly shooting a pellet gun into a crowd outside the Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt shop. The two youths, Louis Correra, 17, of 8 Fairfax Drive, and Benjamin Warren, 18, of 24 Chester Street, pleaded not guilt to five counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Lawrence District Court today. At approximately 9 p.m. Thursday evening, the two teens allegedly drove by the Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt shop on Park Street and fired a pellet gun into the crowd, hitting five people.
