The Andover Public School classes and related activities have been canceled on Feb. 8 due to the expected winter storm coming tomorrow.
This was provided by the Andover Public Schools. Dear Parents, Students and Staff: All Andover Schools and Offices will be closed on Friday, February 8, 2013 due to the impending blizzard. All weekend school-related activities for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are also cancelled so our Highway Department can clear the snow from roads and parking lots. Parent teacher conferences and staff meetings were all canceled for Tuesday due to the power outages.
While students already had the day off Tuesday, the Inservice Day at all Andover Public Schools has been canceled due to the massive power outages throughout the town. School superintendent Marinel McGrath said all parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday have been canceled and all staff have been asked not to report to school. Roughly 10,000 customers in Andover are still without power. Memorial Hall Library is open, however, for residents that want to charge their phones or laptops, or just want a warm place to relax.
