Details surrounding a recent arrest are limited but police are saying that they have charged an Andover resident with aggravated rape.
Andover Police this week arrested a local man and charged him with aggravated rape. While many details surrounding the case are not being released, police reports indicate that he is still in custody at the Middleton Correctional facility. At approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, Andover Police officer Kevin Aufiero arrested Franklin Y. Pillier, 40, of 3 Memorial Circle, on North Main Street. Pillier was charged with two counts of aggravated rape. More details surrounding the arrest were not available. Lt. James Hashem was not immediately available for comment. According to a police report, Pillier was transported to the Middleton Correctional Facility around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Check back with Andover Patch for updates.

A 47-year-old Andover man died at the scene after head-on collision on Route 125.
State Police have released new details in an accident on Route 125 in Wilmington near the Andover town line and have identified the driver killed in head-on collision. Roberto Leon, 47, of Andover, was killed when the 2013 Toyota Corolla he was driving collided head-on with a 2004 Chevrolet K1500 sport utility vehicle. The crash took place around 8:30 p.m. on a section of Route 125 near the North Reading line. According to State Police, a preliminary investigation shows the Corolla crossed the center line and narrowly missed hitting another vehicle before crashing into the SUV. Andover and State Police are actively searching for a 10-year-old boy that went missing from the West Elementary School earlier today.
UPDATE: Police have located the missing boy on a nearby golf course. Police officials have confirmed that they are searching for a 10-year-old male student that went missing from the West Elementary School on Beacon Street in Andover. No more information on the circumstances of the missing child was immediately available. According to information received on a scanner the child has red hair is wearing a red sweatshirt. Andover Police as well as State Police are searching for the boy in the area. The State Police Airwing Unit, which operates helicopters, is not available due to the cloud cover today. State Police are investigating a collision that occurred Friday afternoon on Route 125 in Andover.
A head-on collision took the lives of two Andover residents Friday afternoon, making them the second and third fatality this week in Andover. A woman was killed last weekend in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 93. At approximately 5 p.m. Friday afternoon State Police reported a head-on collision on Route 125 in Andover between a 2004 Saturn and a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of the Saturn, 72-year-old Joann Eckels, and her passenger, 82-year-old James Eckels, were pronounced deceased following the two-car accident on Friday afternoon. Police say that 70-year-old Boxford resident John O’Donnell was traveling northbound on Route 125 when the Saturn attempted to cross Route 125 from Wildwood Road. Police believe the pickup hit the …
