Andover Man Charged with Aggravated Rape

Details surrounding a recent arrest are limited but police are saying that they have charged an Andover resident with aggravated rape.

Andover Police this week arrested a local man and charged him with aggravated rape. While many details surrounding the case are not being released, police reports indicate that he is still in custody at the Middleton Correctional facility.  At approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, Andover Police officer Kevin Aufiero arrested Franklin Y. Pillier, 40, of 3 Memorial Circle, on North Main Street. Pillier was charged with two counts of aggravated rape. More details surrounding the arrest were not available. Lt. James Hashem was not immediately available for comment. According to a police report, Pillier was transported to the Middleton Correctional Facility around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Wednesday, Feb. 27 At 1:38 p.m. a passenger on the MBTA commuter rail reported that a woman fell on the train and appeared to be injured. The woman refused treatment at the train station and said she was not injured.  At 3:01 p.m. an amblance en route to another call came upon a vehicle that had crashed into a tree on Bellevue Road. The driver said she was not injured. No injuries were reported but one driver was cited for following too closely.  At 7:40 a.m. an officer reported a damaged parking meter on Park Street.  At 8:22 a.m. a caller reported a larceny from a motor vehicle on Bulfinch Drive.  At 8:57 a.m. police arrested Kenneth Berube, 50, of 83 Spofford Road, on Lowell Street. Three Arrested for Driving Drunk This Week

Andover Police charged a woman and two men this past week for operating under the influence of liquor.

This past week three individuals were charged with driving drunk in Andover. All three alleged drunk drivers were reported driving erratically, according to witnesses. On Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 9:22 p.m., a caller reported an motor vehicle that was driving erratically and ran several red lights, eventually stopping in the middle of the roadway. Police eventually caught up with the operator of the motor vehicle and arrested the man. Police arrested John Phillips, 65, of 20 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington, on Argilla Road. Phillips was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense. On the same night, North Andover Police reported an erratic operator on Haverhill Street. Three Charged in Multi-Store Theft

Three people were arrested Thursday in connection with stealing. Police were called to Izzy's Emporium on Barnard Thursday about a shoplifter. They followed Jennifer Santos, 26, of 46 Columbus Ave. Apt. 1, Lawrence, as she walked in the parking lot with a bag. Police say Santos told them she didn't do anything and then ran off, dropping the bag. She reportedly ran to Park Street and attempted to climb into a blue Nissan. The Nissan drove away without her, and Santos was apprehended on Whittier Court. Police searched the blue Nissan and found stolen clothing from multiple local stores including Dress Code and Rapids. Santos was arrested for three counts of shoplifting, resisting arrest and warrants relating to drug charges. The two women in…
