Andover Public School District invites teachers, parents, community members, and business leaders to participate in a Task Force that will investigate the importance of and the role languages play in preparing students to function in a global society. Name: Nancy Duclos Position: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction The role of this office falls into the areas of curriculum support, teacher support and grants. Duclos said her position is multi-faceted, and she manages curriculum writing across the district including approval of Home School Plans. She also oversees ESL and ELL and instructional accommodations. "It all gets funneled back to my office," she explained. It is her responsibility to facilitate and create professional development for teachers and to work with the program advisors at the high school. Name: Paul Szymanski Position: Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Administration His office is responsible for the budget, fiscal and operational functions of the Andover Public School district, according to the website. Szymanski said he oversees the finances and works with the Superintendent and School Committee on budget development. In addition to managing the accounting functions, he oversees transportation, food services, custodial operations and the Collins Center facility operations.
