Man Pinned Between Two Vehicles at Church

A man was pinned between a van and a car outside Christ Church on Central Street at about 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

"He was going into the passenger compartment to get  a tool," Andover Police Lt. James Hashem said. "The van started to roll backwards, he tried to stop it by hitting the break, but the van rolled back and hit a parked motor vehicle and pinned him between his van and the motor vehicle."

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and freed the man within 20 minutes. The man, who was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, sustained some injuries but fortunately his injuries were not life-threatening, Hashem said.
